Gravel pond Neustadt-Metel (Tannenbruchsee)

The Neustadt-Metel gravel pond, also known as Tannenbruchsee, is an idyllic quarry pond north-west of Hanover. The lake has a large water surface area of 70,000 square metres and excellent water quality. There is a sunbathing lawn with shady spots and an adventure playground for children.

The Neustadt-Metel gravel pond is part of the Tannenbruchsee campsite, which provides access to the lake and sunbathing area. There are sanitary facilities on site as well as a kiosk, a pub and a beer garden for the physical well-being of visitors.

The Tannenbruchsee offers a relaxed leisure idyll in the countryside, surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Auterniederung. Visitors can swim here, enjoy the sun and relax on the sunbathing lawn. The adventure playground provides fun and entertainment for children.
