On 21 June 2025 Hanover's city centre will be the setting for a musical summer highlight: The Fête de la Musique brings sounds from all over the world to the streets, squares and various stages of the city centre. Whether jazz ensemble, rock band or classical quartet - on this day, music is celebrated in all its facets. And best of all: admission is free everywhere.
From spontaneous street performances to professional open-air stages, visitors can look forward to a wide-ranging programme and a unique atmosphere. The event is Partly barrier-free and invites people of all ages to listen to music together in a relaxed environment and enjoy the longest day of the year to the full.
Parallel to the Fête de la Musique, the Leineufer from 10 am to 6 pm the popular Old town flea market This year's event will have a special focus on music. In addition to classic flea market treasures Records, vintage players and old musical instruments in the focus. The area will be supplemented for the first time by the meadow area at the Parliament of Lower Saxonywhere additional activities for music lovers take place.
A festive day for all those who want to combine the start of summer with live sounds and relaxed browsing - in the centre of Hanover.
