Maker Faire Hanover

On 23 and 24 August 2025, the Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC) will host the Maker Faire Hannover - the largest DIY festival in the German-speaking world. Over 230 exhibitors will be showcasing developments in technology, science, art and crafts. Makerspaces, universities, start-ups, companies and creative minds will be there to present their innovative ideas.

There will be a special focus on 3D printing, robotics, sustainability, upcycling, smart homes, programming, art installations and many other topics. Workshops, lectures and numerous hands-on activities invite visitors to try out and learn - ideal for tech-savvy people who would like to take a look behind the scenes or become active themselves.

A highlight of this year's edition is the German premiere of the over five metre high mechanical ballerina "La Danseuse" by the Spanish artist collective Antigua i Barbuda. The moving sculpture is an artistic symbol of freedom, strength and creative development - the motto is: "Where ideas dance and technology inspires".
