Roncalli Christmas Village

The Roncalli Christmas Village transforms Ernst-August-Platz in front of Hanover Central Station into an atmospheric backdrop with a historical feel during the Advent season. The design concept is based on half-timbered architecture from Lower Saxony, giving the lovingly decorated huts a gently nostalgic effect.

Three times a day - at 17:00, 18:30 and 20:00 - a light projection is projected onto the façade of the main railway station. A Christmas story is told and the historic building shines in a festive light.

A historic Ferris wheel from the collection of Roncalli director Bernhard Paul serves as a visual and emotional highlight. The view over the festively illuminated Hanover is an extraordinary experience.

For a more technical experience, a VR carriage allows visitors to immerse themselves in a virtual winter wonderland.

A nostalgically furnished Restaurant-Café with around 250 m² area invites you to linger. For guests planning a larger gathering, the room is also suitable for Christmas parties and events.
