Always new shapes and formats
It's all about art, festivities and games, and has been every year since 2009, with playfulness and art taking centre stage. The Herrenhausen Gardens with their gallery, orangery and garden theatre are an integral part of the festival, but the city is also included. Plays by Shakespeare, Frank Zappa and Arthur Schönberg are presented. Choirs sing. Commedians dance. Actors perform. From virtual reality, which visitors can experience through the appropriate glasses, to all possible forms of theatre and ideas and a cycle conducted by Ingo Metzmacher.
The ever-changing formats and venues (from a church filled with sand to the DHC hall of the German Hockey Club Hanover) delight the audience.
