Anyone who has experienced this charismatic performer on stage, belting out his unique blend of indie rock, alternative and pop, merging with the audience on hits like „Der letzte Tanz“ or „Schönste Zeit“ and whipping the crowd into a frenzy, will want to experience it again and bring as many friends as possible. But his passionate live performances are only one side of the artist – he lays the foundation for them with his lovingly crafted albums, which expand classic singer-songwriting in the direction of pop and indie rock. On these albums, he pours his thoughts into songs, condensing complex feelings into language that is close to life, equipped with choruses that stick in your head without cloying. Often, the songs are about overcoming resistance, a positive approach to life despite self-doubt, and the certainty that even in bad times, you are not alone.
And he himself is the best example of how giving up is usually the worst option. His long journey to the top began with his birth in 1980 in the hilly countryside around Braunschweig. It manifested itself in a strong focus on music during his childhood and reached its first peak when, while still at school, he and his band landed a contract with a major record company. However, this early success turned out to be a bubble, the deal fell through, as did the band, and Axel was quickly left alone with his talent.
