ENLIGHTENMENT

From the 30 January 2026 will be Cross Church in Hanover to the venue of a special art format: ENLIGHTENMENT Hanover combines classical music, visual projections and expansive light art to create an immersive installation.

The Zurich artists' collective PROJECTILE brings a new interpretation of Vivaldi's „Four Seasons“ to Germany with this production. The composition has been specially reworked and divided into six dramatic sections to make themes such as change, cycles and perception artistically tangible.

Precise mapping technology and the special acoustics of Gothic architecture create an overall audiovisual impression in which the church interior itself is used as a creative medium. Worlds of colour and form, sound spaces and the structure of the building merge into a dialogical art concept.

ENLIGHTENMENT Hanover is part of an international tour that has already made stops in cities such as Zurich, New York and São Paulo. The production invites quiet contemplation and deliberately avoids linear storytelling. The focus is on the individual experience of a multimedia art form that places classical works in a contemporary context.
