SPIDERGAWD and guests

Spidergawd is a rock band that was founded in 2013 in Trondheim, Norway. The founding fathers of the band were Per Borten (Cadillac and Moving Oos) on guitars and vocals, Bent Sæther (Motorpsycho) on bass, Rolf Martin Snustad (Hopalong Knut) on saxophone and Kenneth Kapstad (Monolithic and Motorpsycho) on drums. In 2016, it was announced that Bent Sæther was leaving the band to devote more time to his main band. The band brought in Hallvard Gaardløs as full-time bassist. In 2019, the band thought it would be a good idea to add even more guitar sound, and so the much appreciated Brynjar Takle Ohr became a full-time member, making them a five-piece band with a massive wall of sound.

They released their debut album "Spidergawd" in 2014, followed by "Spidergawd II" (2015), "Spidergawd III" (2016), "Spidergawd IV" (2017), "Spidergawd V" (2019) and "Spidergawd VI" (2021). "Spidergawd VII" was released in 2023.

Even if the new songs are perhaps catchier, poppier than ever before, the sound of the new album is once again orientated towards "Spidergawd IV" and "V". Album "VI" was an inspiring and interesting journey into how direct and uncluttered their sound can be. Musically influenced most recently by bands like Thin Lizzy and 80s hard rock, the new album sounds much more swampy, chaotic and bigger. Everything that brings listeners closer to what happens on stage during a live performance by Spidergawd. Tracks like "Sands Of Time", "The Tower", "Your Heritage" or "Dinosaur" prove that the band is on fire like never before.
