Big children's festival, equestrian flea market and dance shows
The VVV invites you to the 261st edition of the horse and hobby animal market on Saturday, 21 September from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. at the market site on Kleine Brückendamm. Visitors can look forward to an extensive range of hobby animals of all kinds and an attractive side programme for the whole family at the end of the season. The 46th horse and hobby animal market season starts on 19 April 2025.

Well preserved around the horse
Spectators can experience a new horse and rider show on the demonstration track organised by the Burgdorfer Pferdeland association, which is always one of the crowd-pullers at this traditional event. For the first time, Pferdeland is also organising an equestrian flea market from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm. Exhibitors can set up their stands from 8.00 am. You can reach the flea market area by car via the entrance on Uetzer Straße (opposite the cemetery). Stall tickets (3 x 3 metres) are available in advance from Bleich Drucken und Stempeln, Braunschweiger Straße 2, Tel. 05136 - 1862, at a price of 10 euros.

All private sellers can take part. The flea market offers accessories and equipment for horse and rider in used and good condition. On offer is everything a rider's heart desires: from halters, saddles and blankets for the horse to waistcoats and boots for the rider. Throughout the morning, interested buyers will have the opportunity to browse through the range and talk to the traders. The sale of new goods is not permitted.

Hands-on activities at various play stations
Younger horse market visitors are invited to a big children's festival from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm with lots of exciting hands-on activities. The individual play stations focus on the following, among other things: Soap bubble magic, cornhole, ladder golf, nail bar and creative design of canvases and gym bags. Glitter tattoos also add a touch of magic. Fun souvenir photos can be taken in a photo box. There will also be a prize draw, for which cards will be distributed to collect stamps for use at the various game stations. The prize draw will take place at 12.30 pm at the VVV information stand. Many attractive prizes will be raffled off.

Taster circus in the children's tent
The JohnnyB. taster circus performs in the children's tent. With appropriate assistance, visitors can try out their talents as circus artists. The spectrum ranges from unicycling and juggling to plate spinning and rola bola. The Women's and Mothers' Centre stand will be offering face painting for children. Cuddly ponies are also available for guided rides. The youngest visitors can also let off steam on a giant bouncy castle and take a round trip with guaranteed fun factor on the children's carousel.
