60 years of Scorpions in facts, figures and data:

• Over 120 million records sold.
• The band played in front of 1.3 million fans at the first Rockl in Rio festival
• 10 sold-out concerts as the first band from the West in Leningrad and then at the Moscow Music Peace Festival.
• Sold out Madison Square Garden in NY three times in a row.
• Two dozen studio and concert albums, which have been honoured with nine gold and four platinum awards in Germany and elsewhere.
• There is Scorpions whisky, Scorpions beer, a Scorpions stamp, a Scorpions street in Madrid and in Los Angeles, 6 October is celebrated every year as Scorpions Day. The honours are endless, including the Word Music Award, Echo, a star on the Hollywood Rock Walk and induction into the Hall of Heavy Metal. In Brazil, a new species of spider was named after them, and countless children around the world bear the names of the artists as a tribute to the band.
• There were 127 awards worldwide: 58 platinum, 67 gold and two silver. Most of the awards came from France (18) and the USA (14).
• The single Wind of Change is the best-selling single by a German band. More than 15 million singles have been sold. The song has been clicked on more than a billion times on Vevo, more worldwide than any other song by a German band. It was number 1 in the charts in eleven countries. It charted in a total of 78 countries.
