The Torfmoorholm utility rockers, better known as Torfrock, will continue to tour Germany tirelessly in 2024, celebrating their 46th anniversary.
Since their formation, they have established themselves as a piece of North German music history, with a mixture of humour, rock and Low German lyrics. Founded by Klaus Büchner and Raymond Voß, they made their breakthrough with their hit "He Jo" - a Low German homage to Jimi Hendrix's "Hey Joe". Their concerts are known for fresh arrangements of their classics, the rocking joy of playing and the typical peat rock humour.
With Volker Schmidt, Stefan Lehmann and Sven Berger, the current line-up around Klaus Büchner brings new vigour to the tried and tested sound.
Whether at individual concerts, festivals or the legendary Bagaluten-Wiehnacht - Torfrock remains a crowd-puller. Their timeless songs and stories from the fictional Torfmoorholm cast a spell over fans of all ages. The oddball humour and authentic stage show in particular make every concert a unique experience.
Even after more than four decades, the band remains true to its North German identity and its fans.
The utility rockers stand for honest, handmade rock and continue to celebrate success on stage.
