The most animalistic running event of the year: Zoo Run 2024

When the animals go to sleep, it's time for running enthusiasts of all ages to take to the starting line in Hanover's most exotic running area.

It goes jogging, walking, running, jumping - in disguise if you like - once around the (zoo) world! The running world tour takes you along the Zambezi, up to the summit of Afi Mountain, through the underwater world, past the marketplace in Yukon Bay, over the majestic Jungle Palace, through the Australian outback, along the new Zoologicum theme world and through the picturesque Meyers Hof in Lower Saxony.

The circuit (2.65 km) can be completed 1 to 4 times, as long as your legs can carry you.

For the first time in 2024, there will be the "Wolf Pack" family run, where parents can run around the zoo world together with their children!

All runners support the "tortoise house" zoo project with their participation. The endangered Aldabra giant tortoises are returning to the adventure zoo! The zoo is planning a new tortoise house with a particularly large water basin for them, as the tortoises, which can weigh up to 250 kg, like to go swimming to cool off. The ZOO-RUN is being supported by the bear-strong partners Lotto Niedersachsen, Gehrke Econ and Audi BKK.
