From the 22 to 24 August 2025 the shore of the Steinhuder Meer is transformed into a lively festival mile - welcome to the Festive weekend Steinhuder Meera summer event for culture, music and family fans.
This traditional format is taking place for the 68th time and offers numerous programme items for guests from near and far.
Diversity on the festival mile - programme for everyone
On several stages there is a varied cultural programme. There will be a mix of live music, DJ sets and cabaret. Street performances and mobile artists provide a creative flair along the promenade.
In addition, culinary offerings, arts and crafts and family-friendly activities round off the summer programme. The entire event area invites you to linger, enjoy and stroll around.
Highlight on Saturday: synchronised fireworks display
On Saturday evening, 23 August 2025the popular double height fireworks on the programme. To 10 pm the synchronised light spectacle is ignited over the water. Spectators can watch it from both Steinhude and Mardorf.
The light choreography, accompanied by music, is complemented by numerous illuminated boats on the water - a special scenery that impressively sets the scene for the atmosphere on the lake.
General conditions & access
Admission to the festival is free on Friday and Sunday free. For the A ticket is required on Saturdaywhich is available in advance. The admission areas will open on this day from 2 p.m.. Early arrival is recommended.
Mardorf: Family beach and summer party
Also on the opposite side of the lake, in Mardorfwill be celebrated. The beach also opens on Saturday from 2 p.m.. Visitors can expect a family-oriented programme with musical accompaniment and summer gastronomy. From 6 pm a big beach party starts, which leads directly into the evening fireworks.
