British designer Jasper Morrison, born in London in 1959, is characterised by a clear, well-proportioned and minimalist style. He strives for simplicity and emphasises that complicated things are not suitable for everyday use.
"For me, it's a very natural goal to simplify things. Because complicated things are not really made for everyday use," says Morrison, explaining his preference for purist forms.
Morrison's design for the Aegidientorplatz bus stop required special solutions, including an innovative showcase construction, due to its high demands on proportions and precision.
Due to his focus on suitability for everyday use, Morrison was later also commissioned to design the new TW 2000/2500 light rail vehicles, which are known as the "Silver Arrows" in Hanover.
