Hanover Central Station

Hanover Central Station is located in the immediate city centre. It is directly connected to the city railway network and is excellently integrated thanks to its location on several main Deutsche Bahn routes. Bahnhofstrasse and Ernst-August-Platz provide easy access, also for pedestrians and cyclists. Its central location makes the station an important point of contact for travellers, commuters and visitors to the city centre.

Over 700 trains run daily at Hanover Central Station. The spectrum ranges from S-Bahn lines and regional trains to ICE and IC connections. The station also offers direct connections to the city railway (including lines 1, 2, 3, 7, 8 and 9) and various bus lines. Long-distance bus lines to numerous European cities also depart from the neighbouring Hanover central bus station.

The infrastructure includes 12 platform tracks, a spacious station building with service facilities, catering, shopping and barrier-free accessibility. Modern information systems provide orientation and transparency throughout the journey.
