The Faust cultural centre in Hanover-Linden is an important place for art, culture, education and social commitment. Since 1991, it has been offering a variety of spaces for cultural activities on the site of the former Werner & Ehlers bedspring factory.
After the Bettfedernfabrik went bankrupt in 1990, the non-profit association FAUST e.V. was founded as a citizens' initiative with the aim of converting the factory site into a socio-cultural centre. Since then, the cultural centre has developed into a central location for intercultural communication and neighbourhood work.
The Faust cultural centre offers a variety of event rooms on over 6,300 square metres:
The Kunsthalle Faust on the first floor of the 60s hall offers 360 square metres of space for exhibitions and cultural events. The focus is on political documentation projects and regional exhibitions.
The Faust Cultural Centre sees itself as a place of openness and appreciation for alternative, emancipatory and constructive ways of life. It promotes intercultural communication and sustainable business practices.
