The SMARTCITY DESGINHOTEL is located on one of the city's most important squares, between the opera house and the award-winning main railway station, right in the heart of Hanover. The stylish hotel is part of the renowned CITYHOTEL AM THIELENPLATZ and has 30 comfortable rooms and suites in the 4-star segment (all renovated in March 2018), designed by the international star architect and designer Matteo Thun. This completed the design by architect Prof. Dr Dieter Oesterlen from the early 1950s, completely renovated the property and preserved a piece of architectural culture for the future. The furnishings are made up of handmade furniture and design classics from the period when the hotel was built: Vitra Eames Organic Chairs & Plastic Side Chairs, Gubi Bestlite & Artemide lights, natural oak parquet flooring, LED TV as a multimedia device with HDMI and Apple device, indirect lighting and much more. Instead of conventional air conditioning, an intelligent ventilation system with filtered air ensures a pleasant room climate.
