The Villa Seligmann in Hanover is an important centre for Jewish music and culture. This neo-baroque building, built between 1903 and 1906 for the Jewish entrepreneur Siegmund Seligmann, now serves as a venue for concerts, exhibitions and educational programmes. Villa Seligmann impresses with its neo-baroque architecture and rich, almost completely preserved interior. The architect Hermann Schaedtler designed the building with a two-storey sandstone structure and a high mansard roof. The villa is surrounded by a park-like garden, which was designed according to plans by the Hanoverian garden director Julius Trip.
