Programme highlights 2025

Highlights on the Maschsee stage at the end of the north bank at the "Hellebardier"

includes the performance by pop artist Myller presented by bigFM on 1 August. One day later (2 August), the cover band Munique traditionally kicks off the festival with a mixture of different musical genres and plenty of energy.

On 8 August, RADIO BOLLERWAGEN will be playing on the Maschsee stage for the first time. Germany's most successful party station number 1, from radio ffn, brings XTREME PARTY MUSIC with presenter Ruven Rintelmann and other top acts to the north bank.

On the last weekend, Radio 21 takes over the Maschsee stage and invites you on a musical journey through time with Reckless Roses from Budapest on 16 August: they play the greatest rock anthems by Guns N' Roses. Afterwards, the party band Jetlags will rock the stage with their energetic rock-pop mix.

The Maschseebühnen programme presented by the NP and HAZ, for example "Mr. President" Delroy Rennals, right at the start of the festival on 31.7. and the gig by Juliano Rossi alias Oliver Perau, who will take to the stage on the last Sunday (17.8.) with his charismatic swing.

For the first time, the wine bar opposite the Maschsee stage will not only be serving good wines, but also DJ sets with a great sound. On 30 July, DJ Morella brings electronic vibes to the shore.
On 9 August, DJ Chris, known from the Wonderland Festival as well as from Zaza and Sansibar, will take over the turntables.

At the Hamborger Veermaster, shanty and sailor choirs spread out their maritime laments. Coastal fun from the water's edge is brought to Hanover by Lui & Fiete on three dates (1 August, 8 August, 15 August). On 10 August, the "Leineshippers ut Hannover" celebrate their 20th anniversary at the Veermaster.

At the Löwenbastion, bands from all over the world serve up musical samples for every taste: from Big Tasty with hearty alternative rock sounds from Hamelin (5 August) to Stefan Solo, the sensitive string whisperer from the Harz (10 August).

The Hanoverian Los Tumpolos will kick off the festival on 30 July in the music park at the Maschseequelle. With Hellfire (AC/DC tribute), Over Gold (Dire Straits tribute) and the mit 18 band (Westernhagen tribute), various renowned cover bands will be guests at the spring. One of the highlights with a home advantage on the tranquil rock stage on the east bank is the performance by SpVgg Linden Nord on 13 August. You can find the entire programme for the Maschseefest at www.maschseefest.de/veranstaltungen/

With an impressive interplay of music, light and technology, the Maschseefest starts on the first weekend (2 August, 22:30; 3 August, 21:30) with a special accent: a choreographed drone show conquers the sky above the Maschsee. Presented by enercity, around 300 luminous flying objects will impressively tell the story of the company - on the occasion of its 200th anniversary.

Mobile observation tower

This year, a spectacular eye-catcher will rise into the sky on the forecourt of the Heinz von Heiden Arena: the MaschseeTower, powered by Rossmann, is around 75 metres high and offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of the festival grounds, the lake and far beyond. The mobile viewing platform not only impresses with its height, but also with its innovative technology: in four glass, fully air-conditioned cabins - each with space for 20 people - visitors glide gently upwards along a steel tower. Refreshing drinks can be enjoyed during the ride.

Programme for children

A great programme for little adventurers: the üstralala sets sail again. Imaginative stories, fun games and hands-on activities await children aged between four and ten on the floating pirate ship. The Maschsee pirates set sail on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2, 3 and 4 pm. Tickets are online available.

Children's meadow: Fun, games and hands-on activities for the whole family

In 2025, the Maschseefest in Hanover will once again offer a varied programme for children and families on the large children's meadow between Seufzerallee and Karl-Thiele-Weg (in front of the Heinz von Heiden Arena) with new activities for crafts, games and amazement every day. Creative activities, face painting, building block areas and an indoor play area with a cuddly toy pool invite children to join in. The popular children's Olympics with airtrack stations organised by the Turn-Klubb zu Hannover (TKH) will provide sporting challenges, while various partners such as the Hemmingen library, the Johanniter or the upcycling exchange will create additional experiences with picture book cinema, bobby cars, first aid workshops and craft activities.

Maschseefest Hanover delights with new gastronomic highlights

Culinary diversity will continue to be a central component of the Maschsee Festival in 2025. Following an extensive Europe-wide selection process, numerous restaurateurs have been chosen for the next three years. Visitors can look forward to high-quality national cuisines - from French sophistication at Belmondo to the Italian lifestyle at Salento and Mediterranean flair at Mykonos in Greece. Hawaiian bowls and exotic drinks at Ohana Beach, urban Japanese cuisine at HeimW and Mexican specialities at Tulum also ensure variety and enjoyment.

Also new in 2025 are the Aperitivo Bay with a Mediterranean day-drinking ambience and a stylish wine bar right next to the main stage. In addition, there will be tried-and-tested classics such as the Bä(h)renstarke Leuchtturmeck, the RADIO 21 Lounge, the Hamborger Veermaster and the SupperClub 34. The selection is as diverse as it is international - from street food and gourmet cuisine to creative cocktail concepts. This makes a visit to the Maschsee a culinary journey around the world.
