The Herrenhausen Choir invites you once again this year to a musical highlight of the Advent season: the performance of Johann Sebastian Bach's Christmas Oratorio. The first, fifth and sixth cantatas will be performed – from the festive drumbeats and the jubilant „Jauchzet, frohlocket!“ to the radiant final chorus „Herr, wenn die stolzen Feinde schnauben“ (Lord, when the proud enemies snort). This selection brings the well-known work to its musical and spiritual climax and at the same time gets you in the mood for the festive Christmas season. The choir and the Herrenhausen Orchestra will perform, reinforced by numerous guest musicians. The soloists are Laura Schandry (soprano), Claudia Erdmann (alto), Jörg Erler (tenor) and Sven Erdmann (bass). The conductor is KMD Harald Röhrig. Tickets are available at the parish office, at the box office and via www.eventim.de.
