From the 22 to 24 August 2025<\/strong> the shore of the Steinhuder Meer is transformed into a lively festival mile - welcome to the Festive weekend Steinhuder Meer<\/strong>a summer event for culture, music and family fans.<\/p>

This traditional format is taking place for the 68th time<\/strong> and offers numerous programme items for guests from near and far.<\/p>

Diversity on the festival mile - programme for everyone<\/strong><\/h3>

On several stages<\/strong> there is a varied cultural programme. There will be a mix of live music, DJ sets and cabaret. Street performances and mobile artists provide a creative flair along the promenade.<\/p>

In addition, culinary offerings, arts and crafts and family-friendly activities round off the summer programme. The entire event area invites you to linger, enjoy and stroll around.<\/p>

Highlight on Saturday: synchronised fireworks display<\/strong><\/h3>

On Saturday evening, 23 August 2025<\/strong>the popular double height fireworks<\/strong> on the programme. To 10 pm<\/strong> the synchronised light spectacle is ignited over the water. Spectators can watch it from both Steinhude and Mardorf.<\/p>

The light choreography, accompanied by music, is complemented by numerous illuminated boats on the water - a special scenery that impressively sets the scene for the atmosphere on the lake.<\/p>

General conditions & access<\/strong><\/h3>

Admission to the festival is free on Friday and Sunday free<\/strong>. For the A ticket is required on Saturday<\/strong>which is available in advance. The admission areas will open on this day from 2 p.m.<\/strong>. Early arrival is recommended.<\/p>

Mardorf: Family beach and summer party<\/strong><\/h3>

Also on the opposite side of the lake, in Mardorf<\/strong>will be celebrated. The beach also opens on Saturday from 2 p.m.<\/strong>. Visitors can expect a family-oriented programme with musical accompaniment and summer gastronomy. From 6 pm<\/strong> a big beach party starts, which leads directly into the evening fireworks.<\/p>
