Roncalli Christmas Village in front of the main station
Once again this year, the Roncalli Christmas Village will bring a sparkle of lights to the station forecourt. In addition to lovingly designed stalls, high-quality gastronomy, a historic Ferris wheel and a VR reindeer carriage, there is a sparkling light projection on the façade of the main station every day at 5, 6.30 and 8 pm.

Christmas pyramid at Kröpcke
The classic in the heart of the city centre! The Christmas pyramid is a real eye-catcher and can't be missed during the Christmas season. Here you can get delicious hot drinks and more for a cosy get-together with friends and colleagues as well as a great view over the city centre.
Open from 25 November to 30 December, daily from 11am to 9pm. Christmas Eve from 11-14. Closed on 25 December.
Christmas market in the old town
The Christmas market in the old town extends around the Marktkirche into the small side streets and is the largest of the Christmas markets in Hannover. It is steeped in tradition and an indispensable part of the Christmas season.
Here you will find regional specialities, handmade & gift ideas, a historical carousel, delicious hot drinks and of course many stalls with sweet and savoury treats to try out. There is also a Christmas programme of music, dance and talks every day on the stage in front of the Marktkirche. Everyone will definitely get into the Christmas spirit here!

Christmas Old Town Tour Hannover enlightening!
Would you like to experience Hannover in a different light and discover it anew? At Hannover erleuchtend you will be guided through the festively decorated backdrop of the illuminated city by expert guides and conclude the tour with a hot drink. The perfect way to get in the mood for Christmas!

Wishing Well Forest
Here, wishes come true! The small forest in Hanover's old town lets you enter an enchanted world between fir trees and Christmas scents. In addition to the cosy atmosphere, there is fruity mulled wine and a wishing well that is guaranteed to make your Christmas wishes come true!

Historic village on the banks of the Leine
Whether archery, felting or axe throwing - everything in the historic village along the banks of the Leine has a medieval theme. In addition to numerous activities to take part in, there will be lovingly made handicrafts and gift ideas as well as food and drink from the Middle Ages.

Finnish Christmas Village
On Ballhofplatz, the Scandinavian Christmas spirit comes to the heart of Hanover. Experience Scandinavian Christmas traditions with glögi, the traditional Finnish mulled wine, and flaming salmon. The authentic lap tents round off the experience in the Finnish Christmas village.

Christmas Market on the Lister Meile
The Lister Meile also spreads the scent of Christmas and the anticipation of the festivities. At the festive Christmas market along the pedestrian zone you can sample Christmas treats, buy gift ideas such as ceramics or wooden toys, or meet for after-work mulled wine.
