Research and networking

Founded in 1966, the Gottfreid Wilhelm Leibniz Gesellschaft has its headquarters in the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Library and brings together various scientific disciplines to promote the ideas of Leibniz. To date, nine international Leibniz Congresses have been held in various cities.

The journal Studia Leibnitiana, which is published twice a year, deals with topics from the history of philosophy and science. Every year on 14 November, a memorial service is held in the Neustadt Court and City Church of St. Johannis.
