The Hanover Market Hall, affectionately known as the "belly of Hanover", is a lively meeting place for connoisseurs and gourmets. With its central location at Karmarschstraße 49, it offers a variety of culinary delights and regional products.

Historical overview: The Hanover Market Hall

Hanover's first market hall was opened in 1892 and was an impressive steel and glass building designed by architect Paul Rowald. It was destroyed during the Second World War in 1943. The current building was erected in 1954 according to plans by Erwin Töllner and has since provided space for around 50 traders.

A wide range of fresh food, regional products and international specialities await you in the market hall. From fruit and vegetables, meat and fish to cheese, bread and baked goods - here you will find everything for your daily needs and special occasions.
