Interactive temporary city museum in Karmarschstraße

The Hannover Kiosk at Karmarschstraße 40 is a temporary city museum that serves as an interactive platform for the city's history while the Historisches Museum Hannover is being renovated. With an area of 400 square metres, the kiosk offers space for exhibitions, discussions and participation. Visitors can immerse themselves in the past, present and future of Hanover and actively participate in the development of the future city museum.

Exhibition concept and participation

The Hannover Kiosk presents a selection of exhibits, including original artefacts from the collection of the Historical Museum. A special feature is the participatory design: visitors are invited to contribute their perspectives and help shape the exhibition. This encourages an open dialogue about the city's history and enables a diverse presentation of Hanover.

Events and educational programmes

In addition to the exhibitions, the Hannover Kiosk offers an extensive programme of events. This includes lectures, workshops and interactive formats that deal with various aspects of the city's history. Special attention is paid to involving different population groups in order to promote an inclusive approach to Hannover's past and present.
