From 26.07. until 13.08.2023 the time has finally come again: Germany's largest lake festival, the Maschseefest, invites you to take a trip around the world in Hannover.

International gastronomic offers, boat trips from shore to shore, relaxed evenings with delicious drinks, live acts with dance and music, strolling along the 6-kilometre-long lakeside promenade and the view over the Maschsee - 19 days of programme and maritime flair guarantee guests holiday feelings in the middle of the city.

North shore

The north shore attracts with international gastronomy from Germany, Japan, USA, Mexico and many more. On the Maschsee stage, in addition to live concerts and other highlights, the NP and HAZ as well as bigFM and Radio21 will provide powerful beats.

East bank

The Maschseefest is a three-week festival that takes place every year on the promenades around the Maschsee. It is the largest public festival in Lower Saxony and is considered the largest lake festival in Germany. Experience the ultimate holiday feeling in the middle of Lower Saxony's capital and enjoy a variety of culinary delights over 19 days.
Whether sophisticated culinary creations, musical highlights or sporting activities - the Maschseefest offers the perfect experience for everyone.

The Maschseefest is a three-week festival that takes place in Hannover from 26 July to 13 August 2023. The opening ceremony will take place on 26 July at 18:00.

The minimum opening hours of the stand areas are:
Monday to Thursday: 2pm to 1am
Friday to Saturday: 2pm to 2am
Sunday: 11 a.m. until 1 a.m.

Different closing times apply to the stands at the Geibel.

There is no entrance fee for the Maschseefest or for access to the stands.

We advise against travelling by car directly to the Maschsee due to the critical parking situation. It is best to park on the spacious Schützenplatz (Bruchmeisterallee 1A, 30169 Hannover) near the Maschsee. The use of the car park costs 5 € per day.
There are parking facilities for bicycles around the Maschsee. In addition, there will be a central parking area for e-scooters in the area of the western Planckstraße.

The 2.4-kilometre-long and 180 to 530-metre-wide man-made lake is located south of Hannover city centre. It is considered the largest body of water in the capital of Lower Saxony, making it one of the most visited public green spaces in Hannover.

The 2.4 km long man-made lake has a circumference of 6.1 km. A walk around the lake takes about 1 hour.
